When selling your brand, the brand being you….You believe in the importance of your vision, but how do you get others to stop and listen to you?

That’s why you need to be able to summarize the benefit/value of your business in a single, well thought out video. A good one or two minute video value statement will make the viewer say: “I want to know more about that.” This is especially true if you product or service is complex or not easily understood.

If we have learned anything in the last eight years it is that if you craft just the right content, it’s all you need to get people to see the value in giving you a call or better yet, dropping by, or just answering your calls. Most of the time the client or customer does not care about how something works, they just what to know what your service, or product will do for them. And can they trust you and are you creditable. Nothing tells this story better than video on you website, or social media.

The Value Proposition

A video with a strong value proposition speaks directly to your target market and it tells them exactly why they should purchase your products and services more so that a 1/4 page is a weekly and monthly publication.(and in the case of non-profits, it’s why your donors should support your organization, members should join your programs, etc.). Not only is a value proposition in video a clear statement of the concrete results a customer will get from purchasing and using your products and/or services, it tells the viewer a lot about you and your organization. Most small business owners forget that the “media is the message”, not just the words, or the graphics. Think about it, are you more impressed with a black and white news paper, or a moving image with a sound track and bright colors?
